Lib Dem Councillor Hands in Piccadilly Line Petition to Caroline Pidgeon GLAM

Lib Dem councillor, Gary Malcolm handed in a petition to Caroline Pidgeon GLAM (Greater London Assembly Member) to get the Mayor and Transport for London to arrange for the Piccadilly Line tube to stop at Turnham Green station.

The petition was signed by over 600 people, mainly those who live in the vicinity of the Turnham Green tube station or users of the station.

Caroline Pidgeon AM, who is Deputy Chair of the Assembly's Transport Committee, will ensure that the Mayor and Transport for London receive the petition and then get a response from the Mayor.

Councillor Gary Malcolm said: "A huge number of residents will benefit if the Piccadilly Line tube is scheduled to stop at Turnham Green tube throughout the day and not just in the morning and evenings. When the Liberal Democrats knocked on doors or were handing out leaflets outside the tube station we had great support from residents."

Gary added: "The Lib Dems are a party of action. Action not words! It has been clear for so long that local residents deserve and want this to happen."
